What's at the top of your to-do list?
For my girls today, the thing they wanted to do most in the world was to paint rocks. Now, that may have been at the top of my list at some point in my life, but it certainly wasn't so today. Today my lofty goal was to do yard work before the next snow storm moves in on Wednesday (sigh. Utah springs). But having kids inside using tempera paints without supervision is just not an option in this house. And besides, they had spent practically the whole day outside playing. So, being the sucker that I am, I finished that small section of yard work and came inside to supervise. This is probably one of those things that will be a good example later in my life of choosing the "better part." But for now, I must admit that the lawn invading my planters still haunts me. Ah, well. It will be there tomorrow. It will even be there when the next snow melts. And so will I.

Yes, the dilemma I think all moms confront on a daily basis...pleasing the kids and still getting our own stuff done! I must admit, too often I'm more concerned with getting my own stuff done - so good job with the rock paiting =). You are awesome.
Also, ever since you posted about scotcheroos, I could not stop thinking about them! So I finally made them myself last week. SOO good!
