Junie B. Jones
I've been wanting to get Ariana into reading chapter books, but was unsure where to begin. Well, my great friend Andrea gave me a few ideas, and as soon as I told Ariana that Kelsie (Andrea's daughter) had read the books, she couldn't wait to get at them. I checked out a couple of Magic Tree House books and one Junie B. Jones book. She was giggling like mad as she read the Junie B. book and I wondered if she was just in a silly mood. Well, I just read it for myself and it is hilarious. It had me laughing out loud. I think it's probably funnier for adults to read than kids. So, I may become a Junie B. fan. Laugh all you want. Those are some pretty funny books.

I'm glad she likes them! They are funny, huh? I thought you might hate them--I should have known you better! At the moment Kelsie refuses to read any other chapter book. She wants to read every Junie B. Jones BEFORE moving to another series. I was fighting it but gave up and decided to go with it--at least she's reading.
